The Arizona Diamondbacks will search for more from the San Diego Padres and have been sizzling hot. They have a sweep on their heads, as they eye their third straight win. Following a 14-7 win Monday, the Padres came back to another win Tuesday.
They did it while business was handled by the pitching staff since the Warriors were quiet. Merrill Kelly pitched a gem of a match, handing the ball over. He went seven innings, having allowed no runs and only 3 hits.
All of the Diamondbacks’ runs were scored in the 1st inning. That’s all they needed to get a win, though. They were held scoreless for the subsequent 8 innings and came from it with a victory. That is what you call a pitching performance.
The Diamondbacks have really looked determined to enter the postseason of late. Using their backs from the wall, they’ve recognized the adversity and used it to inject into the race. We’ve always cautioned how fast things can change in Major League Baseball.
The Diamondbacks have gone 8-1 in their last nine matches and to get into the wildcard movie. Despite the great run for them, they’re still 3.5 games back. There is not time to relax now, though they’ve already been doing their role.
The Mets have fell back considerably and got hot. Wecontinue fighting their way into a wildcard from the National League, or’ll see if the Diamondbacks regress and do exactly the same matter. Zac Gallen’s purchase has really done wonders to its D-backs.
A great move for a man. He’s already showing flashes of his ability. Chris Paddack will counter tops for the Padres to make this a good-looking pitching matchup in your paper. Head below for our free Padres vs. Diamondbacks pick.

The Diamondbacks swung a bargain and he has made an impact with his new team. Arizona sent Jazz Chisholm to Miami, so it was an opportunity of potential bargain. Gallen has created the Diamondbacks excited today, although we won’t know who won that trade for at least a few decades. Together with Zack Greinke there is an opening for an ace from the desert year. Gallen is hitting all of the correct notes to get the No. 1 spot in the rotation.
Gallen goes into Wednesday with a great ERA of 2.79 at 61.1 innings pitched between the Marlins and Diamondbacks. He posted a 2.72 ERA in seven appearances with the Marlins, and then he did not enable the trade to divert him when he came into the Diamondbacks. It has been more of the same from himas he has been sharp with a 2.88 ERA for the D-backs in five starts.
It’s worth nothing which some offenses that are decent have been pitched against by Gallen. Together with the Diamondbacks, he has had to dance with the Dodgers, Brewers, Rockies, and Phillies. Since he uttered Twins, Mets, Dodgers, along with the Nationals, miami was not easy either. These are all teams but they were managed by Gallen easily. That is possibly the part of the numbers; he’s doing it against hitters that are good.
Chris Paddack has been great for the Padres in his rookie year. He has certainly slowed down, though. Paddack had an ERA of 1.93 on May 20th. Two months later he had strong numbers, with a 2.70 ERA on July 17th. Moving right into September, Paddack possesses a 3.69 ERA at 124.1 innings of work.
In his last 3 performances, he’s gotten hit to get a 7.07 ERA and also 1.64 WHIP. He is hoping to maintain this so his ERA remains below 4.00 at the end of the season. It is a difficult matchup against this hot lineup and Gallen, although I think he’ll be adequate from the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks keep things rolling with a different win Wednesday in the desert.
